Happenings
Spent the whole of ysterday afternoon in town. First met up with my Indonesian cousin to help her apply for a new hp line. Was deciding on which one to subscribe: singtel or M1....went to the M1 roadshow outside cineleisure to check out. Dint had a good experience. Realise that the promoters there were more keen on selling rather than explaining the benefits of the price plans. We cross the road to check out at hello singtel. The service was indeed different. The lady did an analysis of the different plans for us n compare it with the different operators. With some discussion, we chose the singtel one cos its all-day free incoming wherelse M1 only offer free incoming for day/nite. The price is abt the same for both.... Haha...I like the clamshell design of the panasonic X70 she bought. Its quite a cool phone juz tat the price is a bit steep considering tat its quite an old model....
Met up wif Om after tat. We were deciding on which place to go for a drink n finally settled at Maccafe below shaw tower. The environment was good...non-air-con but windy. I pointed out tat his hair colour looks very bright. Haha..i guess i belong to those more old-fashioned type. Personally i dont think i m daring enough to try those bright colours on my hair.... Our conversation drifted to cars. Yes, i m a car-lover but buying a car is not my priority now considering tat i cant afford it n i dont have a family now. Maybe next time i will see the need for a car when i have a career and a family.
We proceeded to aljunied for dinner before going for the CMC sitting. I dint realli have a nice sitting. Dunno why.... was feeling quite restless throughout. Maybe its due to my laziness for the past few weeks.
went to watch "spring , summer, autumn, winter n spring" on wed n "house of flying dagger" on thur. The first is a korean movie linked to buddhist teachings. Its quite a though-provoking movie n i find it hard to understand some parts of the movie. The latter is more of an action-flick. The actions in this movie are beautifully directed though the plot is quite lame.
Though the 2 shows are protrayed quite differently, i noticed one similarity in them. In both shows, the female lead character was killed in the name of "love". The male actors' so called "love" for the other party is actually possession ..... n this wanting to possess the other party is so strong tat it leads to the killings. Is true love possible without any of the slightest jealousy or wanting to possess? Maybe u can tell me how u feel abt it ^-^
Quote of the day: True love is wishing for that person to be happy and not expecting to be part of that happiness.

lust does not neccesary have something to do with the 3rd precepts
i think that the desire to possess not only come from lust but also from the ego self of a person. correct me if i m wrong. And yes i agree that lust doesnt have to be involve the 3rd precept =)
