Had my last paper on tuesday and officially (hopefully) ended my student life. Dint have much time to rest n the next day is interview at HP. I wld say HP is indeed quite hard to get in. The 2nd rd interview is much tougher than the 1st one. Its another round of tech qns with a mix of personal/situational qns. The tech qns tis rd are tougher in the sense that they are not learnt b4 unlike those in 1st rd. eg. flow chart & block diagram of printer hardware. The 2 managers took turns to shoot qns... the whole process took 1 hr and by the end, i was realli drained out. I tot this interview abit kua zhang...its just an entry level engineer post , y they have to ask so much.. especially the leadership part. I guess one of the manager shld be the direct superior for this post. The other manager is he asked along to help him double-confirm if the candidate is suitable. Think its the company policy to be abit KS.
Some other wafer fab interviews coming up. Although the wafer industry offer gd pay, but have to consider the environment. Feeling abit lousy n lost abt what i wanna do?
Some of the conflicts i have to sort out : Is it pay what i want more? or is what i will be learning tat counts? or is the working environment like hrs of work / shift work? or isit just to get a job as fast as possible due to pressure from frens?
Advice from HP manager: For fresh grad, ur 1st job is very impt n must consider carefully. It determines what skillsets u will be learning and developing
Advice from a fren: 1st job is normally explore, try ard n see. u wouldnt know whether u'll like a job unless u try it out. if dont like, explore ard until u find the right one.

I would say both advice are valid.
Do not anyhow accept any job offer given to you. You may end up wasting your time - like myself in my first job, i wasted 1 yr.
However, keep your options open too. Do not fix your mind onto one single entity. The first 5 yrs shld be exploring around - but exploring wisely.
Tks Om for the advice. "explore wisely"..i feel this realli make sense.
